A House of Representatives hopeful, in Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Ogun State, Hon. Sheriff Adeola Olabode, popularly known as Omo-Oba on Friday continued his ward-to-ward tour, visiting ward 2, ward 10 and ward 1 area of the local government.

This is part of his ongoing engagement with grassroots stakeholders, party leaders and members of the party across the wards in Abeokuta South Local Government.

Omo-Oba who stormed the wards with followers in their large numbers met with party leaders, ward members and the youths to solicit support for his ambition and share his vision for effective representation at the National Assembly

He emphasized the importance of staying connected with the grassroots, noting that meaningful leadership begins with listening to the needs and aspirations of the people.

The reps hopeful appreciated the warm reception he received from the wards,  assuring them of his unwavering commitment to the development of the constituency.

He informed that he has not started his political campaign, saying that he has come to introduce himself to them and make himself known to them.

Omo-Oba noted that when it is time for campaign, he will come back to all the wards to meet with them.

He said” I am here today not to campaign to you because it is yet to the time but i have come to make my self known to you so that you know that Omo-Oba is on the race, i am contesting for the position of house of representatives seat and i am here to seek your supports and i promise not to disappoint you if given the opportunity. I am still coming back to meet with you when campaign begins. I will run and inclusive government and give you purposeful representation” he concluded 

A former council chairman in Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon. Akeem Ologbohan in his remarks vouched for Omo-Oba’s capacity to deliver effective representation, describing him as a politician with a deep understanding of governance.

He assured the leaders that the house of representatives aspirant would not be an absentee representative but one who would remain connected to the grassroots, particularly noting his strong ties to the grassroots.

Other dignitaries present were the special assistant to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Agriculture, Hon. Olarenwaju Showunmi, LASEM, the current house of assembly member in Abeokuta South State Constituency I, Hon. Olajide Atobatele, the ward  01 Chairman, Liadi Fadeyi, ward 02 chairman, Dauda Olayiwola Olaleye, ward 10 chairman, Kabiru Animashaun, party leaders and members of the party.
